Dr Bhuvan Kishore is a Consultant Haematologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of both malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders. He trained at the renowned Hammersmith Hospital and completed a fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplantation, gaining extensive expertise in complex haematological care.
My GP thinks I have a blood or bone cancer. How will you help me?
We offer rapid access appointments to review your history, examine you and interpret your blood results. Where needed, we arrange urgent bone marrow tests, specialist blood tests and, when appropriate, same-day or fast-track imaging and biopsies. Your case is discussed in a multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting always, so that all options are considered. We then explain the findings clearly, answer your questions and, if treatment is needed, help you start therapy promptly with a plan you understand and feel comfortable with. Treatments are challenging for patients and their families. You will expect a supportive consultant and a cancer nurse team. Emergencies are supported by an overnight triage service that will make sure your consultant is never out of the loop.
I am concerned I have an abnormal blood finding and I want someone to check it out. What can you do?
If you have been told you have an abnormal blood count, iron, B12, folate or other blood test result, we can provide a thorough review. We look at your full medical history, examine you and review all available test results. Where needed, we arrange further blood tests or scans to clarify the cause. Many blood abnormalities are not serious, and part of our role is to explain what the results mean in plain language and to reassure you where appropriate. If we do find a condition that needs treatment or monitoring, we will outline the options and agree a clear follow-up plan with you.
